More success in Free Challenge

Both Barbara and I have been selected as finalists in the AQC Free Challenge to be held in Melbourne next week. What an achievement for extraTexture.

You haven’t seen mine yet, so here it is. The idea I had was that, to me, freedom would be to soar above the earth and float on the breeze without a care in the world. Research about birds and wing structure lead me to a book on Australian birds, where I discovered the Pallid Cuckoo. Like all cuckoos, this one seeks a suitable nest, then waits for the owners to be absent from it, whereupon the cuckoo lays its egg in the nest and leaves the adoptive parents to raise the hatchling. This is often to the detriment of the adoptive parents own chicks as the cuckoo hatching is large and very hungry. Hence the name, Free Board and Lodging. Kay
