botanical print scarves

Botanical printing is a very serendipitous occupation, with results dependant on everything from the water one uses to the weather and season of leaf collection, to the Eucalypt species and even the side of the tree the leaves have come from. I collect leaves as either fresh or dried windfalls. Botanical printing then involves bundling the leaves and fabric together and subjecting them to pressure and steam.

I will have a lovely selection of silk scarves as well as silk fabric lengths for sale. The fabric pieces can be used for dressmaking, patchwork, cushion covers etc etc etc.
